Admissions Process

ISET strives to attract the best students from around the world and selects them on the basis of merit and in the spirit of open competition.


Admission to the program is open to anyone holding a secondary school (or equivalent) diploma. Each applicant to ISET is considered with great care. We’ll guide you through the application process and answer any questions you have along the way.


ISET accepts both local and international students; however, the application process for these two groups is a bit different. Applicants with Georgian citizenship are considered local students.

Local Students

Admission Process

Student of bachelor program can become any person with secondary education that is certified by the state with corresponding document (diploma) or equivalent.
Georgian citizens are required to pass the Georgian National Exams in order to enroll at ISET. The candidates should pass the following subjects:


  1. Georgian grammar and literature. The minimum required competency.
  2. General skills. Minimum level of competency: 40%+1
  3. English language. Minimum level of competency: 65%+1
  4. Mathematics. Minimum level of competency: 50%+1


Priorities are as follows: 3-4-2-1

International Students

Admission Process

Prospective international students are required to follow the rules and terms defined by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

Perspective students for whom English is not a native language must prove their language proficiency at least B2 level with corresponding international certificate:
  • TOEFL: P/B 513-547; iBT 65- 78 score
  • CBT 183-210;
  • IELTS Academic (5.5-6 Bands)
  • FCE (A, B or C grades)
  • BEC Vantage (A, B or C grades);
  • PTE (General level 3)
  • PTE Academic (59-75 points)
  • Michigan (ECCE).

For International Applicants the admission process consists of three main stages: (1) online registration and submission of full application package, (2) Online Interviews, and (3) Tuition Deposit.

(1) Online Registration and Submission of a Full Application Package

 

Applications are to be submitted online as follows:

  • Complete an application form
  • Upload copy of passport
  • Upload copy of school-leaving certificate, diplomas from previously attended educational programs
  • Upload copy of English language certificate

Note: All documents should be scanned and attached in PDF format. If the documents are not in English, please provide translated versions.

(2) Online Interviews

 

Candidates may be asked to participate in an online interview with the ISET Admissions Committee.
During the interview, applicants are expected to demonstrate their general math skills and English language knowledge.

(3) Tuition Deposit


If you are offered admission to the BA in Economics program, you will receive an admission letter via e-mail. To secure your place, you must make a non-refundable tuition deposit in the sum of 500 USD (this sum is later deducted from your first tuition payment).

Tuition Fees and

Financial Aid

Tuition fee for international students at ISET BA program is 3,000 USD with ten available scholarships up to 60%. Tuition fee for local students is 2250 GEL. Click here for more details.
Additional tuition reduction is possible based on your academic performance at ISET.  
Housing: international students will be considered for housing support in ISET rented apartments.
Living Stipends: outstanding students are granted monthly stipends in the amount of USD 50-100, depending on performance.
