David Sichinava

Invited Lecturer

Dr. David Sichinava is a human geographer who specializes on political and urban geography. His substantial interests are focused on voting behavior and the spatial aspects of urban inequalities. Methodologically, he is interested in spatiotemporal modeling, experimental methods and Geographic Information Systems. Dr. Sichinava’s expertise includes extensive experience in planning and conducting survey research and applied data analysis for various stakeholders, as well as teaching research methods courses at two universities in Georgia. Currently David is a senior policy analyst at CRRC-Georgia, a leading Georgian think-tank and serves as an assistant professor at Tbilisi State University. His work at CRRC-Georgia is mainly focused on quantitative policy analysis. At Tbilisi State University, he has led several scientific inquiries investigating the peculiarities of housing and urban development in Georgia and Armenia. Additionally, Dr. Sichinava has been advising local and international organizations on mapping, survey research and data analysis and collection tools.
