Mr. Ruslan Alikhanov is an experienced industry leader with a distinguished career that spans over twenty five years across various sectors, from strategic consulting to energy, transportation, and investments.

Mr. Alikhanov received his bachelor’s degree in international law from Baku State University in 1997. During 1995-1996 he completed the exchange program in finance at the Missouri State University, and in 2000 obtained a Master of Science degree in finance from Texas A&M University.

Mr. Alikhanov's career path began in 1996 at the World Bank, where he served as a projects specialist. In 2000, he joined Dell in the USA as a strategic business manager. From 2001 to 2013, he held various positions at McKinsey and Company. Following his tenure at McKinsey, he assumed key roles at FESCO Transportation Group, Argo Investment Company, and BCG.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Azerbaijan Investment Holding since 2020, Mr. Ruslan Alikhanov oversees a diverse portfolio of the country's largest state-owned enterprises. Mr. Alikhanov actively contributes to the strategic development of a number of portfolio companies also as a member of the Supervisory Boards of SOCAR, Azerbaijan Airlines, Azerbaijan Railways, and as a Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Azer-Turk Bank.
