For the third consecutive year ISET BA Program in Economics ranks as #1 among all business, economics and finance programs in Georgia based on the NAEC scores. This means that students enrolled in ISET have the highest results of performance at National Entrance Exams. Furthermore, over 97% of freshmen have a state grant. A total of 149 new students out of 150 have won government grants. ISET is proud that top-scoring students choose our Bachelor’s program in Economics.

On 12 September, ISET hosted Mr. Albert Park, Chief Economist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). In his address, he spoke to the ISET community of students and researchers about “Technology, Globalization, and the Changing Nature of work in Emerging Markets”. Within the talk, he reviewed quite how globalization and technological progress affect skills and employment in emerging markets, as well as Georgia’s position on the global map. On 29-30 August 2022, these meetings were held to discuss various significant ISET affairs. Members of the Board, from leading universities and international institutes, arrived in Tbilisi to participate in these crucial sessions. The meetings included presentations, assessments of progress, reviews of academic programs, among other notable details. Academic Board members also held informal side meetings with the faculty and ISET's lead economists. The annual Board meetings successfully concluded with a reception at the director's residence, held for the members of Governing and Academic Board, friends of ISET and the ISET community.

On 10 July, the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET) hosted its 2022 Diploma Award Ceremony for graduates from the 2021-2022 Economics Bachelor's and Master's Programs. ISET's 2022 graduation ceremony was particularly special because, alongside graduates of the Master's program, diplomas were also awarded to the very first graduates on the Bachelor of Economics course.
