ISET faculty’s Yet Another International Publication

A new paper written by Associate Professors Karine Torosyan and Norberto Pignatti has just been published in the Journal of Happiness Studies. The paper, titled Employment Versus Home-Stay and the Happiness of Women in the South Caucasus, explores the happiness gap between housewives and working women in the South-Caucasus, assessing the potential role of cultural and ethnic effects as opposed to that of institutional factors. The paper findings suggest that observed differences across the three South-Caucasus countries might be due more to differences in institutional factors than to cultural and ethnic differences. KHIDI Project - Students from ISET Visit Pankisi

ISET students have been training young people from Pankisi in English and mathematics for the last four years. This year, about 50 ISET students expressed their desire to participate in the project. On 8 October, these volunteer teachers from ISET visited students from Pankisi. This meeting turned out to be emotional and extremely pleasant. At the event, the various pairs were identified who will work together to improve skills and knowledge in the two core subjects. ISET Policy Institute Signs the Memorandum with GNERC and ENTC

A memorandum of cooperation has recently been signed between ISET Policy Institute, the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), and the Elizbar Eristavi Energy Training Center. The agreement was signed by the director of the ISET Policy institute, Tamar Sulukhia, the Chairman of GNERC, Davit Narmania, and the Director of the ENTC, Nugzar Beridze.
